PINE HILL ELEMENTARY BRANDING

Newly founded Pine Hill Elementary School is part of the Westwood Public Schools system in Massachusetts. I created a visual identity for the school that could feel welcoming to young students while still being polished and established enough to represent the school within the larger district.

Working within Westwood Public Schools’ existing green and black color palette, I designed a circular emblem inspired by Pine Hill’s name and natural surroundings. The rounded shape and sweeping landscape lines give the mark a friendly, approachable quality suited to an elementary school, while the structured typography and badge-like composition lend it a sense of tradition and permanence.

At the center, a group of pine trees creates a simple, recognizable symbol for the school and reinforces ideas of growth, community, and belonging. The result is an identity that feels youthful without feeling overly playful—one that can grow with the school and translate naturally across everything from stationery and apparel to environmental graphics, signage, and the school itself.
